The Comedy Blaster Pocket Comedian is a novelty toy designed to appeal to people with a comic personality. A portable handheld device, Comedy Blaster plays 5 pre-recorded comedy sound effects through an internal speaker. With the push of a button, a user can enhance any joke, story, or embarrassing situation with a hysterical laugh track, rim shot, or one of a number of other comedy sounds.

The goal of the product is to enhance stories and situation with sounds which one cannot produce with their own bodies. By enabling people with a Comedy Blaster, they can turn a funny story into a hilarious one and draw attention to themselves or others during a key moment. The interactivity of Comedy Blaster is what sets it apart from other electronic noise-making devices currently on the market, which simply produce rude noises such as loud farts or swear words.

The Comedy Blaster prototype plays the following sounds: Studio audience laughing, trumpet fanfare, drum roll and cymbal crash, broken glass, "game over" videogame sound. The sound samples can be changed during the manufacturing process at no additional cost, to allow various versions of the Comedy Blaster device to be produced. Using unlicensed sound effects keeps the total cost of the product to a minimum.
